You know those picturesque photos of the clear blue waters with the elegant bungalows sitting atop it? Wouldn’t we all love to be there? Well most of us only dream of this and truly never believe it’s attainable. But I’ve done my homework and found the most affordable over-water bungalows in the world! Sure some can still be a bit pricey but if I can work hard and pull together a couple hundred dollars for one, than you can too! All prices are current as of December 2017 for future low season bookings.

AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Starting at $130 USD per night

Located only 14 kilometres from KLIA2 airport, this hotel transports you to tranquillity and peace over water. Situated off the western peninsula of Malaysia, AVANI offers you a tropical getaway that won’t put a hole in your wallet.   • Best Time to Visit: January to April are the driest months making this peak tourist season
  • Extra: Note that the airport transfer fee to this beautiful location is $360 USD

 

Well there’s some options to get you started! Everyone thinks over-water bungalows are insanely expensive and way our of their realm. This is something anyone can achieve though! It may seem like a hurdle at first glance but once you’re soaking up some sun on your private deck, you’ll be glad you took a leap and booked your dream over-water bungalow vacation!
